RULE# 1:
Work with people who
actually know what they’re doing.
For years and years I struggled with Binge Eating /
Substance Abuse / Weight issues and at my high point, I was just under 100 lbs. overweight.
I didn’t like the way I looked and I wanted to do something
about that, BUT my real motivation wasn’t trying to go Jim Hollywood, it
was pain avoidance. The taller you are, the more likely you are to have
problems with your back and all the men in my family are 6’2” plus.
The weight made it worse... A lot worse.
I was seeing my chiropractor three to five times a week and
constantly coming out of adjustment. I was in constant pain and my flexibility
was in the minus numbers. I couldn’t pick up my morning paper without getting
down on all fours.
I couldn’t put my pants on unless I was sitting down and
even then, a lot of mornings it was touch and go. And as for tying my shoes,
forget it. I didn’t have a single pair of lace up shores...all loafers.
So here I am, with chronic pain, barely able to move. A guy
who couldn’t walk more than the length of a couple of football fields before
sharp, shooting pain in my lower back forced me to sit down and rest.
AND I STILL COULDN’T STICK WITH A SINGLE ONE OF
THE WEIGHT LOSS PLANS - I TRIED! And trust me, I tired them all.
Some worked better than others, but in the end, though there
was always a little progress, I was right back where I started from... In fact
half the time, I was worse off than I had ever been.
I had no idea of course, but none of my failures were my
fault. Nobody but nobody can go up against Mother Nature and ever hope to come
out on top. There’s no such thing as maintaining your proper fit, healthy
weight through WILL POWER, not long term
anyway.
That’s when I finally connected with people who actually
knew what they were doing. That’s when I first learned about the Science
of Epigenetics.
My life was changed forever.
And now my mission through the Boot Camp, working with nonprofits is to
do the same for you.
