Reprogram the Computer...

When the new recruits show up for their first week of Boot Camp, there’s a whole range of set up steps their ordered to complete. One of the big ones is:

Clear the decks for action.

1.)   And if this sounds crazy to them, We DON’T CARE! *

We have them go through their entire house, room by room, and rearrange all of their furniture. They often need some help doing this but wither they do or do not, they must take each room, and turn the whole thing around.

The head of their bed’s against one wall, they move it to another, same deal with every piece of furniture in every room of their house

Once this task is complete, they are required to answer our prompts before we let them move to the next step in our process.

                                                                  ***

*  “WE DON’T CARE!”

That’s what I to say to all my campers right out of the gate, because though after week three, I do back off on them a bit, up until that time as I often say to them:

“YOU’RE IN THE ARMY NOW!”

And that means they follow orders. But rearranging furniture threw a lot of them and I got quite an ear full. So now I’m cutting the campers a little slack by letting them in on all the why’s and wherefores.

Boot Campers will never be ordered to do anything unless there’s a very good reason for it.

Reprogram Your Brain!

The entire Boot Camp program from start to finish has nothing to do with diets they’ll never stick too or starving themselves in the process.

It’s all about reprogramming that computer they keep between their ears.

All habits, good or bad, are all about your brain computer programming and that programming takes your conscious mind completely out of the loop.

It’s 100% controlled by your prefrontal cortex and on that score, binge eating and substance abuse, all of your actions / reactions are done without you ever thinking about it.

There’s a million examples in your everyday life, from automatically reaching for the salt & pepper, even before tasting your food, to wetting your toothbrush before you put on the paste, to parting your hair on the left or the right...ALL AUTOMATIC.

All you have to do is consciously vary any of those steps, in this case, making you walk around your furniture in a slightly different way so you won’t bump into to it.

Or maybe NOT wetting your toothbrush first, or forcing yourself to take a bite of your food before you season it.

Just making the slightest little change:

Will send quite a little jolt to that computer of yours and actually stimulate what they call “neutral growth” in that region of your brain.

There’s study after study that all show some actual physical growth in that part of your brain. That knocked me out but it true. It’s just like a weight lifter doing resistance exercises.

Just a couple weeks on something new, and you can actually see physical differences in your brain. The brain is not a muscle, but it acts exactly like a muscle if it’s properly programmed.

Ten times out of ten, once into the full 90 day Boot camp program, if they take an actual physical measurement, it’s right there:

THE BRAIN HAS ACTUALLY GOTTEN BIGGER.

I’m not speaking to you figuratively here, that’s exactly how it works...Measurable brain growth and not nine times out of ten...TEN TIMES OUT OF TEN!

Ask any body builder and they’ll all tell you the key to building new muscles is to:

“Mix It Up.”

You do NOT do the exact same exercise regiment every day...You vary it.

That’s exactly how your brain works. The more you challenge that brain of yours with new programming, the easier it gets to make real changes in your life.

Everything, mind and spirit residing in that body of yours is connected.

And that is the logic behind having our campers rearrange their furniture.

Now that example of programming is just one of the little things we put campers through. There’s programming that one hell of a lot more intense during that first critical 32 days that no Camper could ever possibly miss.

Rearranging furniture is not anywhere near as obvious, BUT, though we’re kind of sneaking up on them when they’re not looking, even with that little tack, THEY ARE BEING PROGRAMMED.

Baby Steps.

Being Overweight can lead to Diabetes… At this point in the good ole USA, 52% of the general population is either Pre-Diabetic, or Diabetic...52%!! If you’re chronically 30lbs overweight that number jumps up to 83%. You can Google it; it’ll jump right out at you. It’s jabbing yourself with a needle 4x a day, every day - then you lose some toes, then a foot. It’s not a pretty situation, but that’s how it works. You can side step all that AND if you ARE on insulin, get off. It would be a good plan to look into your options. https://jimbrownbootcamp.org/
It Feels Great! You know, I haven’t always been such a boy scout.   I was in business all my life, not running one (god no); I’d bring in people to do the day to day once I put everything in place.   My thing was to come up with an idea, get if off the ground, then bring in the “mechanics” to take it from there, then on to the next. Tough sledding out there, true dog eat dog. These days, I help people who are going through exactly what I did with weight issues. Feels good… Not even close! It Feels GREAT! https://jimbrownbootcamp.org/

An Epidemic of Childhood Diabetes

Recently the Boot Camp used Facebook advertising and promptly found ourselves up to our ears in responses. It’s taken our support team weeks to get out from under and continues to be a work in progress. We’ve suspended all Facebook advertising until we’re caught up and are in the process of expanding staff to deal with the influx. We had not anticipated such a vast response, although this should not have been any big surprise. Today, in the Good Ole USA, the Overweight Capital of the World, 51% of the general population is either Pre-Diabetic or Diabetic - 51%! If you break it down a bit further and zero in on people who are chronically 30 lbs. overweight or beyond, that number jumps to 84%. People in that spot may never get a Diabetes diagnosis, BUT Las Vegas says NO. When I was a college boy, Mickey D’s was just starting out and had no imitators. You could buy a hamburger for 13 cents and a cheeseburger for 15 cents and the National Diabetes rate was 11%. F...
